Wikipedia:Deletable signatures proposal
|
 |
This proposal has failed to attain consensus within the Wikipedia community. A failed proposal is one for which a consensus to accept is not present after a reasonable amount of time, and seems unlikely to form, regardless of continuing discussion. |
A modest proposal:
I've seen some hideously ugly signatures as of late; ones that look okay when seen, but cause pain upon editing the page on which they exist.
I therefore propose that signatures that are described by two or three (I'm not certain of the numbers) of the below be deletable, to be replaced with {{unsigned}} on sight:
- Any signature longer then 100 characters.
- Any signature using an image.
- Any signature involving Unicode.
- Any signature using color.
- Any signature using font sizing.
- Any signature using superscript or subscript.
- Any signature using bold or italics.
Anybody else care to comment? Thanks, Luc "Somethingorother" French 14:16, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
