For the WikiProject, see Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation

This page allows unregistered and anonymous contributors to create new articles with the assistance of experienced Wikipedians. The easiest way to create a new article, however, is to create a free Wikipedia user account and then log in. No personal information is necessary to register, and registered users can create new articles without the hassle or delay of the Article for Creation process. If an image is needed in an article, make a request at Wikipedia:Images for upload.

If you have an idea for a good article subject, but do not want to provide text for the article, you should make an article request instead. Alternatively, if you want to discuss and plan an article go to the drawing board.

This page is not for you if you are:
  • a registered user submitting an article
  • promoting someone or something. See the FAQ for businesses.
  • experimenting. For testing, go to the sandbox
Unregistered users: Submitting an article Registered users: Reviewing submissions

Follow these directions to submit an article for creation.

  1. Check whether the article already exists by searching for it.
  2. Ensure that your topic meets Wikipedia's notability guidelines, including ones for:
  3. Ensure that your article is verifiable and based on published sources.
  4. Click the "Start Here" link below.
  5. Keep in mind that there are a lot of article submissions, and established users may not have time to immediately look into your article. Sometimes, due to the large backlog, a submission may not be explicitly rejected or accepted.
  6. Give the following information in the proper places on the form:
    • The title of the article
    • Several sentences of original content, written by you. Do not copy the text from a website or printed source; observe copyright.
    • At least one published source for your information, such as a URL or a book title and author. If you do not list at least one source, your article will be declined.

Extra tips for advanced users:

  • Do not add any stub templates or categories to your submission— they should only be added when the article is actually created.
  • Use three equal signs for your section headers, ===like this===, rather than the usual two.
  • Avoid indenting paragraphs (beginning them with one or more spaces); doing so can cause the text to be formatted oddly.

Registered Wikipedians should follow these detailed directions to review article proposals and (where appropriate) create a new article from an article proposal.

Quick directions (for more experienced reviewers):

  • Verify that the submission is not a copyright violation and meets applicable notability guidelines.
  • If the article looks suitable for Wikipedia:
    1. Create the article, crediting the submitter's IP address or username in the initial edit summary for GFDL compliance. You may choose to use {{AFC reviewing}} on the request if you could take a while.
    2. Leave a reply below the submitted text, noting that the article has been created. You can use the template {{subst:afc accept}} to do this quickly. Be sure to sign your reply with ~~~~.
    3. Mark the submission with {{subst:afc top|accept}} just below the headline, and {{subst:afc b}} at the very bottom.
    4. Add {{subst:Afc talk|Article Name}} to the talk of the IP address that submitted the article, to inform them that their submission was successful. Be sure to sign your message with ~~~~.
  • If the article does not look suitable for Wikipedia:
    1. Immediately remove any copyright violations, personal attacks, or patent nonsense from the submission.
    2. Write a quick reply explaining why the article is not a good idea. These templates provide quick responses to common problems. Be sure to sign your reply with ~~~~.
    3. Mark the submission with {{subst:afc top}} just below the headline, and {{subst:afc b}} at the very bottom.

Once a registered user is ready to make the new article that was requested, they can use this tool to make the article fast.

Warrior 350

Argus(warcraft)

Argus was the original homeworld of the eredar (and hence the draenei, who are physically identical to the original eredar). It was apparently a utopian world whose inhabitants were both vastly intelligent and highly gifted in magic. Argus was ruled by a triumvirate of the greatest and most powerful eredar mages: Kil'jaeden, Archimonde, and Velen. It is possible that they ruled from Mac'Aree, the most sacred of the cities on Argus, according to Jessera of Mac'Aree.

Eventually, Argus attracted the attention of Sargeras. The Destroyer offered the eredar a deal: in exchange for their loyalty, he would give them power undreamed of by all races. Kil'jaeden and Archimonde were quick to accept the offer, but Velen had a vision of the future: the eredar would be transformed into demons, under the rule of Sargeras. His advice to Kil'jaeden and Archimonde went unheeded, and he desperately sought a solution to this dilemma. Eventually, Velen was contacted by the naaru, and he fled with his followers, renaming his people the draenei, or Exiled Ones.

Kil'jaeden, Archimonde, and the rest of their race became the feared, insidious sorcerers and tacticians of the Legion.

It is unclear whether the world of Argus was destroyed by the eredar's sudden demonic powers (as implied by previous lore), or if it survived their transformation. If Argus still exists, it is certainly a stronghold of the Burning Legion, possibly their headquarters. Rise of the Horde leans towards this interpretation, though nothing is explicitly stated.

  • Reason. I submitted this redirect yesterday, along with Michael Martel with was approved, but this was declined because this didn't have a reference. There's nothing in the redirect tutorial requiring I provide a reference for a redirect, however a quick search on google easily verifies my claim. 72.74.210.215 (talk) 08:39, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

585 Gehringer

The .585 Gehringer is an elephant gun of the 577 bolt action wildcat family. It was designed over several years by Karl Gehringer , a member of the Australian wrestling team during service in the Armed Forces. Like most elephant guns the purpose was stopping power on large dangerous game at close quarters. The test rifle was a CZ550 416 Rigby magnum fitted with a .577 Tobler Barrel of 1:22 twist rate. A 2.8" Nyati reamer and 3.25" Bertram brass was used to create a unique case length of 3.06" and the rims were rebated to the original 416 Rigby boltface.

In 2001, Woodleigh 750gn softpoint and FMJ bullets were tested to 2350fps as a suitable hunting load. Geoff McDonald of Woodleigh also provided a special run of 900gn softpoints for the rifle.

Case capacity 200gns to case mouth.

Power

Power is dependant on the practicalities of gun weight and recoil. Like most 3"+ 585 wildcats it will exceed 2600fps with a 750gn bullet for near 11,400ftlbs muzzle energy- If the firer can handle it.
