- Looked at the list and it's fine, thanks. I won't pretend to understand what it means when you said you "ran recursively on the categories you had given to find the sub.. sub categories" because I don't speak bot and that's why you and the other bot ops are much appreciated around here. - I meant the list of cats , I made was from a recursive search on the sub-categories on the main catgeories you had given.

Another request?
I'm happy to take this to BOTREQ if you're busy but I thought since I was here, I'd ask. {{Canada-museum-stub}} was just created and before that, we just used the generic {{museum-stub}}. Someone ran AWB on some of the articles and the articles landed in their appropriate place, i.e. Category:Canada museum stubs. Is there a way to see if there are existing articles that are {{Canada-stub}} but are still using the general museum stub rather than the new Canada one? If this isn't possible, no worried and if you're busy, also no prob. Thanks again for your help above. TravellingCari 15:19, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

Image:Cherian philip.JPG is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:Image:Cherian philip.JPG. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all MediaWiki wiki's. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. You can embed an image uploaded to Commons like you would an image uploaded to Wikipedia, in this case: [[Image:Cherian philip.JPG]]. - Whether not clickable or not, the link addition is just spam and content merely to make google Adsense revenue from traffic and click on the page. Bot request - tagging for WP
I have a bot request. Could your bot parse Category:Seattle Mariners players and tag the articles contained with in with {{WikiProject Seattle Mariners|auto=yes}}? Also, if there is already another WikiProject tag, can it copy over the assessment from the other project (if its there)? if you are going to keep the thread here, thats cool, just leave a {{talkback}} link on my talk page. - Surely I can add {{WikiProject Seattle Mariners}} or {{WikiProject Seattle Mariners|class=|importance=}} only to articles in categories with my bot. Isn't "|auto=yes" used only when they are auto assessed ( not just adding banner ) by a bot ? Ofcourse I can add {{WikiProject Seattle Mariners|class=Stub|auto=yes}} if running on a stub category. If you want the banner to be autoassessed based on other banners , I havent done a BRFAfor it yet, you may contact User talk:Richard0612 for the service of User:Bot0612. - Hey, I guess the WP 1.0 Assessment Category creation for your project is not done properly ( check this Category:Seattle Mariners articles by quality and Category:Seattle Mariners articles by importance . - User:Stepheng3 had already created the category tree before I could do today. But it needed a small fix from me and now it is working properly. I ran WP 1.0 bot manually and now it gets properly populated in Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Seattle Mariners articles by quality statistics -- Tinu Cherian - 05:20, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

Hmm, I guess it is logical to join seeing as that I am an Indian. But being only 15, I have limited knowledge about the country. So I don't really think I would be of much use to the project. I might think of joining when I get my GCSEs out of the way and have time to do more thorough research into the various project topics. - The backlog at Good Article Nominations is 141 unreviewed articles. Out of 186 total nominations, 28 are on hold, 14 are under review, and 3 are seeking a second opinion. Please go to WP:GAN and review an article or three as soon as you have a chance!

- GA Sweeps Process
The GA Sweeps process has recently reached its first year anniversary. If you are unaware of what GA Sweeps is, it is a process put in place to help insure the integrity of the ever-growing number of GAs, by determining if the articles still meet the GA criteria. Experienced reviewers check each article, improving articles as they review them, and delisting those that no longer meet the criteria. Reviewers work on a specific category of GAs, and there are still many categories that need to be swept. In order to properly keep track of reviews, a set date was used to determine what articles needed to be reviewed (since any future GAs would be passed according to the most recent GA criteria).
The number of GAs that were to be reviewed totals 2,808. Since the beginning of Sweeps, the progress has reviewed 981 by the end of July 2008 (or exempted them). For a table and chart breakdown of the current progress, see here.
With more than twenty editors reviewing the articles, progress is currently a third of the way done. At this rate, it will take another two years to complete the Sweeps, and active involvement is imperative to completing on time. We are always looking for new reviewers, and if you are interested in helping in speeding up the Sweeps process and improving your reviewing skills, please contact OhanaUnited.
