I was very surprised to see blue, not red, after one of your comments. Darkspots (talk) 01:37, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

- They are NOT! Well, the orange one's not. Because it's mastered the art of looking innocent. The black one's still working on that whole "covering up the fact that it wants to tear your face off" thing. delldot ∇. 01:35, 10 September 2008 (UTC)

MfD
Its just a test I'm doing at the moment. Currently, I am one of the only editors who maintains MfD, until I can get the bot working again. Too often, when editors file an MfD, they ignore the date header and put it under the current one. I've placed commented date headers there so that when someone transcludes, you might double check. We don't have to use them, but I've also been using them for a few weeks in the closed discussions section, and they seem to be working there. I'm going off line now. Later gurch. Annoying bug in the new version of Huggle
I'm not sure if you take these sorts of comments, or whomever does it, but I'll simply start with you. In the new version of Huggle, I'm finding that every dialog box, when I click "cancel", it comes back up, and then if I cancel again, it comes up once more, requiring another cancel to finally quell it. miquonranger03 (talk) 21:44, 8 September 2008 (UTC)

- Most, if not all. I remember the "message user" tool, the box asking something along the lines of "you are trying to revert to another edit from the user who is being reverted", and, if I'm not mistaken, the "edit page" tool all having this problem at one time or another.
- It's not too much of a problem, and if it seems to be an isolated incident, don't worry about it. :D miquonranger03 (talk) 22:07, 8 September 2008 (UTC)

- Seeing as I'm here – I can't replicate this one. – iridescent 03:58, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
- I can actually confirm that this happens at least upon hitting "OK". Cancel I haven't tried. Calvin 1998 (t·c) 04:07, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, I'm getting this now. Must be an intermittent thing as it sometimes works fine. – iridescent 20:17, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
- Now in addition to that, I'm getting the error message

Talk:Nick Berg/Nunh-huh
I found Talk:Nick Berg/Nunh-huh and thought of deleting it, but it contains discussion. I thought of moving it to Talk:Nick Berg/Archive 1, but that was taken. I saw your name in the Archive 1 history. If you have some time, would you please look into this. Thanks. -- Suntag ☼ 14:01, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
Regarding Huggle
Sorry to bother you about this, but I was very interested in using Huggle (seeing as VP is now discontinued), however I have been getting a constant "Unable to login" message and I'm not entirely sure why (I posted on the feedback page about this). Also, in case you were interested, on Vista Ultimate I am getting a null argument exception (at System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary`2.FindEntry(TKey key)) when starting up version 0.8.1. I apologise again for bothering you with this but I will appreciate any help :) --RazorICE 10:16, 20 September 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, everyone and their dog seems to be getting this. It will be fixed in the next version, but when that version will be available, I have no idea. In the meantime, use the previous version of Huggle, which does not have this problem -- Gurch (talk) 17:50, 20 September 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the reply, but I meant that I am getting an "Unable to login" problem with the older version, 0.7.12 (and I really want to use it xD). I'm not behind any firewalls or proxies, so I have no idea what could be causing it. Any ideas? Or is this what you were referring to? Well, thanks again :) --RazorICE 13:25, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

Huggle is just plain superb
I have been a Huggle user for 6 months now and I can honestly say it would be impossible to fight vandalism without it. The work you have done is appreciated by all. I just wanted to let you know. --CanadianLinuxUser (talk) 10:43, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Blue_Öyster_Cult_-_(Don't_Fear)_The_Reaper.ogg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Blue_Öyster_Cult_-_(Don't_Fear)_The_Reaper.ogg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? ★ Bigr Tex 01:42, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
- It does have a fair use rationale. One simply needs to look carefully for it. Calvin 1998 (t·c) 01:49, 24 September 2008 (UTC)

- Didn't I decline this exact same request from you last month? – iridescent 01:54, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
- [1] - different person. Calvin 1998 (t·c) 02:30, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
- These taggings are presumably down to someone using a semiautomated tool too fast without fully reading the material they're tagging, or not reading the instructions on how to use it correctly. I'm sure I've heard that somewhere else, but just where escapes me for the moment. – iridescent 02:49, 24 September 2008 (UTC)

- Of course, it could also be someone who has been reviewing rationales for 18+ months, using a semiautomated tool, who while generally liberal about rationales thinks that Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline's recommendation that the rationale include "What purpose does the image serve in the article?" is important.
- The fact that the word 'rationale' was nowhere on the page did make it look at first glance as if nobody had tried to create a rationale. On further review, this summary does a better job of covering the other necessary components for a rationale than most WP:Music Samples I've looked at in the last couple of months.
- I still think that it would be good to include a rationale for how the presence of this particular bit of non-free music significantly increases readers' understanding of (Don't Fear) The Reaper.* For instance, is it for identification, illustration, or commentary? How does it fulfill that role in the article? ★ Bigr Tex 16:59, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
I've been huggled!
LOL, thanks for the laugh. Hi, Gurch. I'll have to *twinkle* you back, since I don't think Huggle works on a Mac. TravellingCari 20:47, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
- indeed it is. It's also the one I'm most familiar with having lived in Japan. I think I've come to associate you, by way of discussions on Iri's talk, with the wiki-Huggle. :) TravellingCari 20:59, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
You otter drop me a note
Huggle
How come everytime I open Huggle, it breaks, and tells me I have to send the error report to Microsoft? Thanks, A (Reply!,Contribs!) 11:32, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
- Because it's broken -- Gurch (talk) 12:17, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
- Okay, so I definitely don't want to update from 7.12 yet, right? 128.187.0.178 (talk) 17:19, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
- Okay, so how do I fix it? A (Reply!,Contribs!) 19:30, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
- Study programming, get a job at the WMF as a software developer, and rewrite MediaWiki. The faults are down to changes in the MediaWiki software, not Huggle itself. – iridescent 19:45, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
- Or take the slightly easier option of waiting until I fix it -- Gurch (talk) 21:44, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
Like all your headers say huggle... are you tired of that word yet?
In response to your latest post to my talk page: Hahaha, <3.
I downloaded the old version of Huggle like a week ago. I know it's broke, but it's still boss. You're brilliant, Gurch. Let me know when you've coded around the jacked MediaWiki changes, and I'll upgrade.
Mad luv and sniggles ;) Jennavecia (Talk) 23:33, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

I just couldn't resist adding to the pile on of "Huggle" section headers! Hugs right back atcha, Gurch! Ariel♥Gold 02:29, 6 October 2008 (UTC)

Thankyou for being a pleasure to work with during my time on WP, I really appreciate it. You've even got a mention on my userpage. ;) *BIG HUGS* Lradrama 07:16, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
