1943 - 1963: 2 seats
After the 1940 census, a second seat was added. For six years, the seats were elected at-large statewide on a general ticket. In 1949, districts were used.

1973 - 1983: 4 seats
1983 - 1993: 5 seats
1993 - 2003: 6 seats
2003 - present: 8 seats
