The Tyrolean hat, named after the region of Tyrol, is associated with the Austrian Alps. Tyrolean hats have a cord wrapped around the base of the crown and a feather or brush on the side as trim. They are traditionally green and made of fine velour felt. Occasionally, inexpensive plastic Tyrolean hats are made available to help celebrate Oktoberfest around the world. Contains a massively tall pointed krone with a enge styled brimmage. Additionally Tyrolean hats are associated with the character Robin Hood and were considered highly fashionable in the 1880s and again in the 1930s and 1940s some people still wear them now.
