The Tsou (鄒 Hanyu Pinyin Zōu, Wade Tsou) are an Indigenous people of central southern Taiwan. They are spread across three districts, Nantou County, Chiayi County and Kaohsiung County.
They are sometimes confused with the Thao people of Sun Moon Lake. In the year 2000 the Tsou numbered 6,169. This was approximately 1.6% of Taiwan's total Indigenous population, making them the seventh-largest tribal group. [1]
