Transaction offers publications in older, established disciplines such as economics, political science, history, sociology, anthropology, psychology, as well as recently established disciplines ranging from area research to urban studies, policy analysis, philosophy of social science, organizational behavior, and criminology. Their offices are located on the campus of Rutgers University in Piscataway, New Jersey. Historically, their relationship to the presidents and staff of Rutgers has been part of their success.[1]
AldineTransaction is an imprint of Transaction Publishers. Formerly a division of Walter de Gruyter, Inc., Aldine Publishers was acquired by Transaction in July 2004, and the name changed to AldineTransaction. Aldine publishes classic books in the fields of sociology, anthropology, economics, sociobiology, physical anthropology, and public policy.
Transaction's Chairman of the Board and Editorial Director is Irving Louis Horowitz.
