The Parent Trap is a film series made from 1961-1989 with Hayley Mills as the twins. She reprised her role three times; first in 1986 then twice in 1989 for three made-for-TV sequels. It was remade in 1998 this time with Lindsay Lohan as the twins. A 1953 version was titled Twice Upon a Time.

Hayley Mills plays two twins; Sharon and Susan, who meet at summer camp and, realizing they're twins, switch places to reunite their divorced parents; Maggie and Mitch.
The Parent Trap II

Hayley Mills reprises her role as the twins; Sharon and Susan who are now grown up and are trying to find love.
The Parent Trap III

The Parent Trap 3 picks up around when The Parent Trap II left off. It introduces the triplets; Megan, Lisa and Jessie who try to get their dad Jeff to ditch his fiancée in return for Susan who is now a decorator.
The Parent Trap IV: Hawaiian Honeymoon

In the last sequel Susan, her new husband Jeff, his triplet daughters and Sharon head to Hawaii.
Remake
The Parent Trap

The Parent Trap was remade in 1998 with Lindsay Lohan as the twins. It follows the same basic plot line as the original.
