The Taipei Film Festival (台北電影節) is a film festival promoted by the city of Taipei, Taiwan, the Republic of China, through the Taipei City Department of Cultural Affairs. The film festival was inaugurated in 1998 and has been held annually since, with the exception of 2001. It is usually held in June and July. The film festival has a shorter history and is less prestigous than the Golden Horse Film Festival, but focuses more on providing a platform for promoting local filmmakers.
