Something Wild is a 1986 comedy/action film directed by Jonathan Demme and starring Melanie Griffith, Jeff Daniels and Ray Liotta.
Story
A strait-laced banker (Daniels) meets a sexy wild child (Griffith) for a series of small adventures. Though he initially protests, he finds that her free-wheeling lifestyle adds the spark that has been missing in his life. The movie takes a dark turn when her violent ex-convict husband (Liotta) shows up and wants her back.

- Something Wild was the first non-telenovela program/film to air on the American network MyNetworkTV, on Saturday, February 3, 2006.
- In the film Dumb And Dumber, this film is referenced in the scene after Harry (Jeff Daniels) and Lloyd (Jim Carrey) rip Sea Bass off and are fleeing from the diner.
- The band playing at the high school reunion is actually the Feelies.
- Chris Isaak was originally up for the role of Ray Sinclair, but he turned it down due to finishing his second album Chris Isaak.
- Demme cast two 'indie' directors as cameos roles: John Waters as car dealer, and John Sayles as a motorcycle cop.
