SE-Explorer is a free file manager for Windows.

Like any other two-panelled file managers it has two file windows side by side. But instead of FAR Manager or Norton Commander it is GUI based application with tabbed interface, which made it possible to manipulate more than one directory or file view at the time.

The following build-in viewers are available:

  • Picture viewer for JPEG, BMP, PNG, etc.
  • Video player for AVI, MPEG, WMV, MOV files
  • Audio player with PLS and M3U playlists support
  • Text editor with syntax highlighting
  • Hex editor for binary files
  • ZIP archive explorer
  • RTF document file view
  • SWF Flash movie player
  • Browser window for local web files
  • TTF Font files view
  • XML structure view

The application is written in .NET, so the installation file is about 580KB only. But the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 is required.

Main executable file can be easily copied onto USB flash drive and used as a portable application.

Licensing

SE-Explorer is a freeware and requires no registration or activation. You can download and use it for your own needs for free.
