Robert Dormer, 1st Earl of Carnarvon

Robert Dormer, 1st Earl of Carnarvon (1610 – September 20, 1643) was the grandson of Robert Dormer, 1st Baron Dormer and received the title Baron Dormer at the age of 6. He was created Earl of Carnarvon in 1628 at the age of 18.
He was an ardent Royalist and fought for King Charles I in the English Civil War however was killed at the first Battle of Newbury.
He was married to Anna Herbert, daughter of the Earl of Pembroke. He was buried in Wing.
