Final Retail Slut storefront on Melrose Ave
Retail Slut was a well known clothing store in Los Angeles that specialized in punk and goth fashions. Founded in 1983, by Helen O'Neill (aka Helen Bed, helen13). Heavily supported the underground scenes such as the S&M and Rave communities. Participated in "Hands Around the World." Retail Slut was located on Melrose Avenue and changed locations along the avenue four times throughout its history. It finally closed on March 31st, 2005. [1]
