Princess Aimée of Orange-Nassau, van Vollenhoven-Söhngen (legal name Aimée Leonie Allegonde Marie Söhngen, born 18 October 1977) is the wife of HH Prince Floris of Orange-Nassau, van Vollenhoven, the youngest son of HRH Princess Margriet of the Netherlands and Pieter van Vollenhoven.

Aimée Söhngen in Amsterdam, the daughter of Hans Söhngen and Eleonoor Söhngen-Stammeijer. She has a brother, Hans, and a sister, Magali.

Princess Aimée graduated from Leiden University in 2002 with a business law degree and now works in the area of marketing and communications for Pon's Automobielhandel, having previously worked for Fortis Bank.

Aimée and Prince Floris announced their engagement on 25 February 2005. The couple married in a civil ceremony in on 20 October 2005 at the Stadhuis in Naarden, and in a religious ceremony on 22 October in the Grote Kerk, also in Naarden.

On her marriage Aimée acquired the courtesy title of Her Highness, Princess of Orange-Nassau, van Vollenhoven due to her husband's status as a Prince of Orange-Nassau. Since Floris did not seek parliamentary approval for his marriage, due to the remote chance of his succession to the throne, he lost his place in line to the Dutch throne when he married Aimée.

Children

In the early morning of October 9, 2007, Aimée gave birth to a healthy baby girl, the couple's first child, to be named Magali Margriet Eleonoor van Vollenhoven.[1] She was born at the VU Hospital in Amsterdam.
