Benny Lava
Benny Lava is an Internet meme that was started when the video for Prabhu Deva's song, "Kalluri Vaanil" from the Indian Tamil movie, Pennin Manathai Thottu, was uploaded to YouTube by mondegreen director "Buffalax" [1]. The video was edited to include subtitles of the written English approximation of the video's original language's sound. In this case, he "translated" the Tamil "-dha nilaavo" into English as "Benny Lava". Since then, Prabhu Deva is commonly known on the internet as "Benny Lava". The video has occasionally been referred to as "the web's craziest dance clip" and has been made into a mobile phone ring tone [2].
