Original 106 is the name used for three FM stations in the United Kingdom, initially all launched by Canwest Mediaworks UK Limited, and owned by parent company CanWest Global Communications Corp. Canwest won all three licences from UK regulator OFCOM in a partnership with Seven Broadcast Limited.
Original 106 (Solent) was bought by Celador Radio Broadcasting, a wholly owned subsidiary of Complete Communications, in August 2008. Original 106 (Bristol) was bought by Tomahawk Radio Limited in July 2008 and Original 106 (Aberdeen) was sold by Canwest to a management buyout team in July 2008.
