Maj. Gen. Ng Chee Khern addresses more than 90 international air chiefs during the Global Air Chiefs Conference forum in Washington D.C., September 25, 2007.
Major General Ng Chee Khern is the Chief of the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF).
He was previously second-in-command as Chief of Staff (Air Staff).
General Ng joined the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) in 1984, and was a recipient of the President's Scholar in 1984 and SAF (Overseas) Scholarship in 1985. [1]
General Ng was a student of Victoria School. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hon 2nd Upper) Degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics, and a Master of Arts Degree from the University of Oxford, and a Master of Public Administration Degree from Harvard University. [2] He is one of the first F-16 pilots of the RSAF and most recently flew the Northrop F-5.
Among his other appointments in the SAF, General Ng had been the Commanding Officer of the RSAF's 149 Squadron, the Commander of Tengah Air Base, and the Director of the Joint Operations and Planning Directorate (JOPD).[3]
