MV Empire MacAlpine was a grain ship converted to a Merchant Aircraft Carrier or MAC ship.

Entered service as MAC ship April 1943, owned by the Ministry of War Transport and operated by William Thomson & Co.^[1]

Displacement 7,950 tons. Converted by Burntisland Shipbuilding Company.

After the war, the ship was converted to a grain carrier, and scrapped at Hong Kong in 1970.^[1]
