MAC spoofing is the activity of altering the MAC-adress of Network Interface Cards.
Programs
MAC-spoofing may be done trough following programs:
Ifconfig
We will assume that wlan0 is the location of the NIC you wish to use and 11:11:11:11:11:ab is the MAC-adress you wish to change to. The commands than needs to entered as follows:
ifconfig wlan0 down (turns off card)
ifconfig wlan0 hw ether 11:11:11:11:11:ab
ifconfig wlan0 up (turns card back on)
Windows manual altering
In Windows, no commands exist; instead manual altering may be done trough editing the windows registry or via "My Network Places" and then altering the Properties-tab of your NIC. To alter the registry, one must open it by typing regedit (or regedt32), and altering the appropriate key.
