Kyrgyzstan Airlines is the national airline of Kyrgyzstan, based in Bishkek. It operates scheduled international and domestic services, as well as charter flights. Its main base is Manas International Airport, Bishkek, with hub at Osh Airport.
The airline is on the List of air carriers banned in the European Union.
History
The airline was originally Aeroflot Kyrgyzstan Directorate and was established in 1992. It signed a co-operation agreement with Aeroflot in October 1997 covering new scheduled services, aircraft maintenance, ticketing and marketing.
The airline is owned by the government (81%), private shareholders (11%) and the Soial Foundation (8%).[1]
