King II is the abbreviated name for the King Report on Corporate Governance for South Africa published 2002 in South Africa[1]. It followed a 1994 report commonly known as King I
Companies listed on South Africa's JSE Securities Exchange have to comply with King II which itself requires compliance with Global Reporting Initiative guidelines.
