History
The station changed call signs to KRGQ on 1986-09-19, calls which it had previously held in the 1970s. On 1988-01-01, the station changed it's call sign to KZQQ. On 1992-07-31 to KRGQ. On 1997-03-10 to KRGO. On 1998-01-16 to the current KMRI.[1]
In one of the most famous and creative forms of station identification, this station once held the call sign KRPN in the 1980s, and identified itself as WKRP N Salt Lake City. Because the KRP, N (as a homophone for "in"), and city of license were said in the proper order, it was a legal station ID despite the extra W.
