Jungjang is the South Korean equivalent of a Lieutenant General. It outranks the Sojang, equivalent to a Major General.
In North Korea, the same name is romanized as Chungchang. Although still translatable as "Lieutenant General", a North Korean Chungchang is only the equivalent of a two star general, since North Korea does not maintain a rank of Brigadier General. The North Korean equivalent of a three star general is Sangchang, translated as "Colonel General".
