John Wesley Judd 

John Wesley Judd (18 February 18403 March 1916) was a British geologist.

Born in Portsmouth, he was educated at the Royal School of Mines, where he was later professor of geology. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1877 and he was President of the Geological Society between 1886 and 1888.

Notable pupils of his include Edgeworth David and Frederick Chapman.
