Japanese destroyer Maikaze

Maikaze (舞風, ? "Whirlwind") was a Kagero-class destroyer of the Imperial Japanese Navy.
On 17 February 1944, during the Allied attack on Truk, Maikaze, the cruiser Katori, and the auxiliary cruiser Akagi Maru were sunk by gunfire from the cruisers USS Minneapolis and USS New Orleans 40 miles (75 km) northwest of Truk (07°45′N 151°20′E / 7.75, 151.333). The ship went down with loss of all hands.
