George Frederick Charles Searle 

George Frederick Charles Searle (1864-1954) was a British physicist and teacher. He was a Fellow of the Royal Society. In 1888 he began work at the Cavendish Laboratory under J.J. Thomson, and ended up working with the lab for fifty-five years.

He wrote a book on Oliver Heaviside. The book was completed in 1950. However, it remained unpublished for many years. It was finally published in 1987 by C.A.M. Publishing.
