Frederick William Adolphus Bruce

Frederick William Adolphus Bruce (1814-19 September 1867) was a British diplomat. In 1851-52, he was chargé d'affaires and consul-general to Uruguay. He was the second Colonial Secretary of Hong Kong from 1844 to 1854. He was then consul-general to Egypt. Afterwards, he served as the British representative in Washington, D.C. from 1865-03-01 until his death in Boston in 1867.
