Electrabel is a Belgium-based energy corporation, with power plants and customers across Europe.

Electrabel was founded in 1991 when Intercom, Ebes and Unerg merged to form the present company. For a long time the French company Suez held a slight majority stake in Electrabel, but in 2005 that stake increased to 96.7%. The rest of the stock remained tradable at Euronext, but Electrabel was removed from the BEL20 as a result. Suez finally completed a squeeze-out of the remaining shareholders on 10 July 2007, when the company was delisted from the stock exchange. Following Suez's 2008 merger with Gaz de France, Electrabel is now a subsidiary of GDF Suez. Electrabel has a joint venture with the Italian utility "Acea".
