Release
"eBay" was never intended to be released as a single (whether in a radio-only, commercial, or promo format), but after the post-Christmas quirks of 2006, it debuted as #15 on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles[1] This was similar to Yankovic's previous single "Canadian Idiot."[2][3]
Music video
The song "eBay" was actually performed live at eBay Live! 2003. A portion of this performance can be seen at the beginning of the CNBC documentary The eBay Effect: Inside a Worldwide Obsession.[4] Though no official video was produced, it has inspired the creation of numerous user-generated videos, usually featuring slides of the items mentioned.
