The Gateside Inn, Coalhall, north of Drongan
Drongan is a village in East Ayrshire, Scotland with a population of around 3000. It is a former mining village. In it it has one primary school with a nursery school attatched, 2 pubs, a variety of shops, a bowling green, community centre, Church, Chapel, police station, funeral parlor and a health centre. There used to be a station but that was closed after the mining ceased and is now a house. Drongan is situated 8 miles from Ayr and 10 miles from Cumnock. It is also home to Rangers F.C. player Kirk Broadfoot. There have been lots of new, private houses built in Drngan recently, many by Hope Homes. Hope also created a nature walk area when they built at the Coalhall road area.
