Dolores is a town in Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. It is the head town of the Dolores Partido. The town settlement was officially founded by Ramón Lara on August 21, 1817.

2008 March train disaster

  • March 9, 2008 – A intercity bus from the company El Rápido Argentino collides with a Ferrobaires passenger train with 250 passengerd on board at a railroad crossing on the outskirts of Dolores, on the Provincial Highway 63, killing 17, and injuring at least 25. The bus' driver disregarded the railroad crossing signals, which at the time of the accident were operating perfectly.[1].
