Discovery Channel Middle East is the Middle Eastern version of the Discovery Channel, using a "factual entertainment" concept similar to the original American channel.
Discovery Channel was originally available via Showtime Arabia; it would later move to the Orbit Network platform.
Other channels from Discovery Communications available in the Middle East and North Africa are Animal Planet, Discovery Travel & Living and Discovery Science.
