Qiao Xing (Chinese: 侨兴; pinyin: Qiáo Xīng) is the first Chinese telephone manufacturer listed on the NASDAQ. (Symbol: XING)
Qiao Xing's net sales have grown from $46 million in 1997 to over $244 million in 2004. A majority owned subsidiary of Qiao Xing, CECT, is a top 3 domestic seller of mobile phones in China, with product lines that include Dual SIM phones and PDA Phones.
In 2006, after Apple released the state of the art iPhone, CECT released it's own version, CECT P168, which was almost a carbon copy and had similar features. The phones sold on eBay, at first disguised as authentic iPhones, with Apple logos. Eventually, the company produced the phone as it's own product which runs on Tri-band GSM networks, the CECT S688, and has become known as the T-Phone and HI-Phone.
