This signifies the day in 1971, when the members of Army, Navy, and Air force of the Bangladesh liberation war forces launched a combined offensive against the Pakistani Occupation Army. ^[1] On December 16, 1971, the Pakistan Army surrendered with 93,000 troops to the combined forces, ending the Liberation War of Bangladesh and the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 simultaneously.
